Our Horses
Annie
Joe
When Kathrine looks for a horse like those in our program, she looks for several things, with a good
temperament and athletic ability being the most important. Knowing bloodlines helps with determining if
a horse may have potential, but that is not 100% accurate. The other key component is can they be trained
to handle multiple riders as a school horse, or more precisely as a schoolmaster horse.

Our horses have proven that they are just that. They are professional in every aspect whether it is working
with a child or an adult. They are patient and giving. All of them have been trained to perform only to the
rider's ability, no more, no less. As the rider gets more advanced then the horses perform accordingly.

Our horses wear a training martingale and a special bridle to protect their sensitive mouth while a rider is
learning their steering and developing a balanced seat. All of the horses are voice command trained as
well as trained to respond to a rider using seat, leg and rein aids.

Our current group of horses are
:

Shes A Rainbow a.k.a. Annie - Registered  AQHA Appendix 1997 Sorrel Mare
You Cant Imagine a.k.a Nutmeg - Registered  AQHA 1993 Chestnut Mare
Finder's Dream a.k.a Kohl - Registered Appaloosa 1995 Chestnut Gelding
Indio Joe a.k.a Joe - Registered APHC 1999 Chestnut Stallion

Most of our young riders start off on Nutmeg while our beginning adults start with Kohl.

Only those select adult students and young riders that have been taking lessons with us for 8 months to a
year and have shown genuine interest in the art of riding are given the opportunity to learn off of our
stallion Joe who is the only horse currently that  was completely trained by Kathrine from the time he was
purchased as a yearling. He amazes everyone that rides him or just sees him go.

We are still working on the remaining pages for each of the horses so you can know their complete
history.
Tributes
Each horse that a trainer works with can have a lasting effect on their thoughts and feelings of how to train these powerful athletic animals. Some make more of a lasting
impression, especially if it is one that you own. Three of the horses,  Playboy, Tomi, and Skip sadly left this world long before they were suppose to. They may be gone, but they
are not forgotten. Grace was sold to a friend.

As the pages for each of the horses is finished it will be added to the site. Currently only Tomi's and Skip's pages are viewable.
